CHICAGO, IL — The Price family of Lakeview cannot catch a break this week. After their daughter, Mary, drank chips out of a bag like they were liquid, or at the very least, non-Newtonian fluid, and their dog put a chip bag on his head, now their cat, Toad, 1, has climbed into a recently discarded paper shopping bag and is treating it like a little cave. “Now Toad is in the shopping bag!” Devin, 12, the youngest Price family member, told his parents, “First my sister chugs all the chips like a pig, then our dog puts the chip bag on his head like a dog, and now I have to deal with our cat getting into a grocery bag and settling in like a little cave explorer? I hate this family!” The family cat has shown an affection for standing inside of squares and hiding under furniture in the past, but today marks the first occasion on which she has chosen to explore a grocery bag. Other family members were reportedly elated by the development and praised Toad for being cute. Devin went for a walk around the house and is expected to settle down once he returns to the kitchen to prepare a hot pocket. Toad is expected to stay inside of the grocery bag until someone forgets she’s in there, touches it, and causes her to run away to hide under Devin’s bed for four more hours like her life is in danger or something.
