UNITED STATES — Social media trends often fade away before most people get to experience them, but one trend, set to the song “Mean” by $not, has endured and captured the attention of women across the US. Unfortunately, the primary purpose of the trend has shifted for some influencers taking part in the fun.

“You have to show your small waist, your pretty face, and THEN your big bank,” Malina Dallas, 19, an avid follower of the social media influencer @CondomHoe, said in an interview about the star’s most recent video, “But @CondomHoe totally glossed over the pretty face and small waist part, both of which she barely has, and went straight to the part where she’s supposed to show her big ass, and even that was underwhelming.”

The song, which most people have never heard outside of nine-second clips on TikTok and Instagram, usually accompanies a young woman showing her “small waist” and then “pretty face” to the camera, followed by the reveal of her “big bank” or “ass” as the finale. These videos are generally very popular with both men and women, garnering comments like “juicy” and “dinner plate.”

However, @CondomHoe, whose videos usually contain dancing, lip-syncing dialogue from comedic films, and harsh reptation of Republican talking points, is yet another young woman who has disregarded the first two directions and skipped to showing her butt, which could hardly be described as a “big bank.”

“It’s about the buildup,” Dallas continued to an interviewer who was mostly in awe of how worked up she was getting over a meaningless social media trend attempt, “When you skip straight to the ass part, even if that ass fat, it’s like, yeah, but you barely tried. There are girls out here nailing that trend. You gotta come with your A-game.”

Dallas has unfollowed @CondomHoe and posted a video of herself doing the trend, which has received middling praise, mostly from people she knows in real life. The aging social media user currently sits at around 1,000 followers, which is hardly enough to receive any kind of influencer status or ad revenue.

@CondomHoe reportedly made $153,000 after posting the lukewarm trend attempt for her 1.2M followers and is currently on vacation in a nice-looking place.
