Woman Tweets “What’s up, Chicago?” During Vacation, Hangs Out with Every Person in Chicago
CHICAGO, IL — Maggie Denver, 29, received a major surprise when she tweeted “What’s up, Chicago?” as she entered the city to begin a two-day personal vacation staying at a relatively inexpensive Airbnb. “I have never seen that many responses to one of my tweets before, so I thought something was wrong,” the part-time IT worker said during an interview, “but literally every single person in Chicago got together to hang out with me.” The mob of Chicagoans worked their way to the Airbnb where Denver had revealed she was staying and rotated in a new person every few seconds so that every citizen could hang out and party near her. “They stole all my stuff,” Denver continued, “People were drunk and high and just going to the bathroom wherever. I didn’t know anyone, and I was so scared. It was truly the most horrific experience of my life.” The mob reportedly picked Denver up and carried her to Lake Michigan to show it to her. Denver said the great lake was “nice” which offended most of the people carrying her. The now hungry mob threw Denver in the water and began breaking off into smaller groups to find places to eat. “I took that opportunity to swim to Indiana,” Denver said, “I called the company where I rented my car, and they hooked me up with another car to get home. The Airbnb wouldn’t refund my second day though. I don’t think I’ll ever go to Chicago again.” The incident prompted the creation of a new law that recently passed stating gatherings must involve fewer people than the entire population of Chicago.
