Zuckerberg Plans to Turn Facebook into Little Galaxy So He Can Visit Space in His Little Computer
UNITED STATES — The CEO and founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, 37, recently laid out his vision of turning the social media empire into a “metaverse” in the next five years.
“I want Facebook to be a little galaxy that’s basically like being in space, so then I don’t actually have to go to space,” Zuckerberg explained to confused shareholders, “I need to go to space because everyone else is, but I just want to stay in my little room with my little computer, so I’m going to make Facebook a little galaxy that I can go to with my little friends.”
A metaverse is described as a fully interactable online world where people can game, work, and communicate in a virtual environment, often using VR headsets. The extremely wealthy CEO and producer of the Oculus VR headset explained that people should not be restricted to small glowing rectangles, a sentiment that is usually vocalized by people who want to distance themselves from electronics. However, Zuckerberg has decided to go the opposite direction and basically ask if people want to fully dive into the simulation that they’re all so afraid of already being inside.
“I think the reason the simulation that we’re all so afraid of was created in the first place was to make it so that people don’t actually have to go anywhere or do anything, and I want that to become a reality as soon as possible,” he continued, “Instead of real planets and nature, imagine if you could see shitty renderings of planets and nature? Wouldn’t that be amazing?”
Zuckerberg’s little plan for his little website will begin its early stages on his little computer in the next five years, an amount of time that experts say should be enough for many users to delete their Facebook accounts because it’s mostly just their racist aunts who don’t know how to use VR headsets on there.
